Bailiff Creative Services I got a knock on the door, and I saw a group of people outside with a huge check.
The check was for a million pounds, and I was like, what the fuck?
They told me that the national lottery had randomly put in a bunch of post codes for the chance to win a million pounds.
One of the post codes was my own, and I had won.
I couldn't believe it, and I was so grateful.
I told them to wait so that I could get my family ready to take a picture outside.
I was so excited and full of happiness.
I told my wife and three kids to get ready to go outside, as we won 1 million pounds.
It was amazing, and my family was all chuffed, and they too couldn't believe it.
I got the kids ready as my wife got herself ready, and we were trying to think of what to say to the cameraman.
This was definitely going to end up in the newspapers, and I kept pinching myself to see if this was real.
A million things were going through my mind about what to do with the money, but I was so happy that I had won.
All the neighbors were coming out of their houses as well to witness my family collecting the check.
I couldn't wait to show off in front of some of the neighbors who I didn't like so much.
I am also aware of jealousy among them, and even though a million pounds is not a lot to a billionaire, to us, it's money worth a lifetime.
I could just put it away in the bank and let it grow through interest, and that was really what we were going to do.
Just let the money grow.
As my family went outside, there was a gathering of all the neighbors outside.
As I shook the man's hand who was holding the check, he spoke through a microphone and said, They are out of the house!
Seize the house now!
And I realized in that moment that they were bailiffs working for the landlord to seize his house.
These bailiffs were able to seize more houses in the neighborhood that had stopped paying rent because everyone was outside.
These bailiffs belonged to a company called 'creative bailiff services', and my family was homeless and penniless.
Damn the landlord.
